Bluetooth connection

Just got some noise cancelling headphones, and they have connected to my iPad fine, but they won’t connect to my Yamaha 2500 sound bar via Bluetooth. I’ve tried resetting etc but they just won’t connect. Any suggestions so I can listen to the footy on the tv
