I have the same problem. I just bought a brand new set of Bose NC 700's today from a Bose retail store in Hong Kong. I updated the firmware to the latest before pairing with any device.
Now, I tried using them with my Huawei Matebook Pro laptop and an iPhone 11 Pro Max. The iPhone keeps connecting/disconnecting while I am in video meetings using my laptop.

I'm having the exact same issue, that too keeps taking my name in a terrible way and says <XXX's> iPhone Disconnected, then again in 10 seconds says <XXX's> iPhone connected. So annoying that I have to mandatorily disconnect two devices and make sure only one device is connected if I have to use. Kinda loses the whole puropose of having multi point connectivity !!

I now have another manufacturers headphones, such a shame but this was interfering with my work and that is not acceptable!

I received a brand new pair today. I used my phone to setup the headphones then paired with my PC - where I intend to use the headphones. I kept getting constant disconnects every 5 to 8 minutes. Even while actively listening to music on my PC. I tried forcing my phone to disconnect from the headphones. I updated the firmware. The thing that worked, was clearing the headset of it's bluetooth pairings by pressing the bluetooth button for 10 seconds until it states it has cleared the profiles. It took a few tries because holding it down doesn't work unless you're in the right "state" I don't know if that state is powered on or off. I had to try a few times.
BUT this means that multi-point bluetooth technology is the culprit. There needs to be a way to disable the multi-point bluetooth feature. Everytime I switch devices, I'm going to have to clear the previous device if it is still nearby or I will run into this problem again.

This is my second ACH 700 - and both of them had this problem.
Some software issue still there with very latest software version 1.7.0

POTENTIAL FIX FOR SOME
So I've been having this issue ever since I updated the firmware. On my second pair of headphones which unfortunately updated themselves at some point.
- Whenever I pair my phone it would constantly restart, buzzing noise etc etc
Was about to get another replacement and I THINK it's been fixed. They suggested RESTARTING my phone after pairing it.
So I paired to my laptop (fine) then my phone, the headphones started the endless restart loop, I restarted my phone and it's now connecting to both without issue.
It still isn't as smooth as the initial firmware which would automatically switch between laptop and phone if I started listening to music on one and then started something on the other (you now have to pause whatever you are doing on the other device) but automatically switches for a call so it will do.
Better than wasting another device because of rubbish software.
What a waste of my time and a perfectly good initial pair of headphones.

Any update on this issue?
Headphones paired to 1 source only (phone), every 5 mn or so disconnecting and reconnecting automatically, essentially becoming unusable for around 10 sec every time.
Needless to say it is very annoying when listening to music or watching a video (need to manually resume afterwards).
On a phone call, it's just horrendous and makes the device practically unusable for any work call.
The previous firmware seemed to have mostly fixed it, with the latest version it's worse than ever.

Had similar issue when I bought it. Only few fraction of people where complaining about this. The issue is with my laptop . Below process helped me resolve the issue

I just can't beleive that Bose would even consider releasing a garbage product like this and tarnish their name for a looooong time.
I purchased the 700 headphone 2 weeks ago, it kept connecting and disconnecting, I called Bose support, they guy spent 30 minutes on the phone with me to fix the issue and finally gave up and sent me a replacement. the replacement is the same garbage... they clearly have a serious software issue with these headphones ( or hardware) and can't fix it yet not only they are not transparrent about it, they lie to their customers saying that if you call support they will fix it for you !!! this is absolutely unacceptable... Not only i'm going to return these headphones, I'm going to give my business to Sony because at least they have a stable product.
