Bose NC 700 boots, connects, reboots endlessly.

Bose NC 700

Country:

USA

Firmware Version:

Latest version as of March 3, 2021 (can't connect to get the firmware version)

App Version: 4.3.4

What devices were you using that were affected and what version are they on:

Pixel 3 and Dell XPS 13 (2019 i7 10th gen)

Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce:

About  2 weeks ago the issues started with random dropping of bluetooth connection while connected to my phone or laptop.  It got increasingly frequent until today where it just boots, connects and reboots.

What environment do you experience the issue in?:

I primarily use my headphones in my office with the door closed (very low noise environment)

When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?:

About 2 weeks ago the issues started.

Any troubleshooting steps you took:

I take very good care of my headphones, when not in use they are in the case.  They have never been dropped or used outside.  If you saw them and I told you there were brand new out of the box, you would believe me as they are immaculate.

My headphones were fully charged when I did the following.

1. I reset my headphones according to the instructions I found on this site.

2. Disconnected my laptop connection.  Same issues.

3. Disconnected my phone connection.  Same issues.

4. Reconnected to just my phone.  Same issues.

5. Updated the app.

6. Updated the firmware from btu.bose.com

7. Deleted the app and reinstalled it.

At this point I am lucky if it stays on long enough to connect to my phone for 20 seconds.

Please help.

Hey Matthewspamasubi,

Thank you for posting and welcome to the Bose Community! Sorry to hear that you have had this rebooting experience with your headphones.

We appreciate the troubleshooting that you have performed so far, I'm surprised that these steps haven't resolved this issue for you. Can you please let us know if you see any led indicators on the headset when this issue occurs?

I'd also recommend the further troubleshooting steps we have listed here

Please do update us on the result of these steps.

Re: Bose NC 700 boots, connects, reboots endlessly.

The headphones stayed on long enough to change the settings with in the app.  It was still set to default of "Never" for auto-off.  I changed the motion detection to Off.  I am not using a VoiP system.

The headphones have been reset.

I will run them for as long as they let me to see if they have any more issues.

So they lasted for about 5 minutes, made that horrible buzzing sound and started the reboot loop.

Also, the blue and white lights stay on solid.
