Notice

The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Please visit our support homepage to experience one of our many other digital service channels or simply use your Community log-in credentials to sign in to your My Bose Account to view your orders and view support options.

Thank you to all who have contributed and benefited from interacting in our Community. We look forward to continuing to serve you online.

Bose NC 700 headphones, multiple issues

Before creating a new topic, please search the Community to avoid creating duplicate threads. If you are posting about a problem, the more of the below details you can include (if applicable) the easier it will be for others to try and help. Go to https://bose.life/2K1GbJl for a helpful post on how to find relevant information, including your firmware and app version information!

Bose product name

Bose NC 700 Headphones

Country

Australia

Firmware Version

1.8.2

App Version

4.5.4

What devices were you using that were affected and what version are they on (e.g. Samsung Galaxy S9 on Android 11, iPhone X on iOS14, etc.)
Samsung galaxy note 20 ultra and

Razer Blade 15 2018 with Windows 10

Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce

The first issue is I can't seem to connect to the Bose music app. So I managed to connect the product the old fashioned way on my phone and windows 10 with the Bluetooth settings but when I try to connect to the app on the phone when the headphones are still connected the headphones let out a high pitch squeel and reboot.

I also noticed there were points where there was brief static when listening to something from my windows 10 laptop. This sounded like Bluetooth connection issues that I've faced with my old pair of qc35 but with the nc700 there was a lot more times where this was happening.

What environment do you experience the issue in? (e.g. noisy office, quiet kitchen, etc.)

When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?

My first hour of using them out of the box.

Any troubleshooting steps you took

Reset the headphones,

Clearing the paring list on the headphones and the phone,

Reinstall the Bose music app,

Used the Btu website to update the headphone firmware.

Re: Bose NC 700 headphones, multiple issues

Hello 700 Bros,

Thanks for choosing Bose and welcome to the community!

I am sorry to hear you are facing issues with your new NC 700 and would love to help. We have a great thread here that will help with static when using Windows 10 and another thread here that will help with connecting to the Bose Music app. The troubleshooting you have tried so far is great. Please can you also try the steps on those threads and let me know how you get on!

I look forward to your reply.
