Hi, I live in Canada and just bought the Bose Soundlink 2 headphones. When I pair them with my PC and I go to a conference call, the sound quality decreases so much if I select to use the microphone on the headset. When I switch to the microphone in my PC the sound becomes normal again. I was wondering if this is normal.
Thanks
Hello Andres06,
Thanks for posting.
The headphones, like others, utilize two Bluetooth profiles for use. A2DP is used for music streaming and offers higher quality audio, whereas, HSP/HFP is used for calls/microphone usage, offering lower audio quality and concentrates on audio frequencies where speech naturally occurs. When you switch back to the built-in microphone of the computer, A2DP kicks back in, hence the tonal difference.
This is completely normal behavior. 😊
Thanks.
