The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Please visit our support homepage to experience one of our many other digital service channels or simply use your Community log-in credentials to sign in to your My Bose Account to view your orders and view support options.

Thank you to all who have contributed and benefited from interacting in our Community. We look forward to continuing to serve you online.

Can't connect BOSE 700 Headphones to iOS Music App

I have just purchased a new pair of 700 heaphones (Australia) and can't connect to the Music App.  I have extensively researched all the other threads on this topic and nothing works.  I have attempted to pair with my iPhone's Bluetooth first and then via the app as instructed on the other threads, but that is not successful. Each time i follow the connection prompts, it asks me to pair with an 'LE' variant, which means i end up with both that and the 'Bose NC 700 HP' connections in my bluetooth list. So then the app fails and tells me to clear the bluetooth list of both devices and start again .. so i do, but end up with the same experience/outcome.  I have also attempted to clear my bluetooth list and attempt the reverse by connecting through the app first and not my phone - same outcome.

I have an iPhone X on the latest iOS (14.6).

Re: Can't connect BOSE 700 Headphones to iOS Music App

Hey @Casey D, welcome to the Bose Community!

I am sorry that you've not been able to connect your Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 with your iPhone X. We appreciate you taking the time to research and troubleshoot this issue.

Have you had a chance to try and connect the headphones to the Bose Music app on another device?

Are your headphones running the latest firmware? If you're unsure, you can go to btu.bose.com on a computer and connect them via the USB cable to check for/install any updates.

Let me know how you get on with this.

Re: Can't connect BOSE 700 Headphones to iOS Music App

Thank you @Charlotte_G, the firmware update did the trick.  I thought you had to connect to the Music App in order to do updates, good to know.

Thanks again
