Issue with iOS 14.4.1 - microphone

App Version: 15.0


What devices were you using that were affected and what version are they on : iPhone X on iOS14 - update 14.4.1

Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce:

After iOS update, people stopped hearing me when I talk using the headset. The microphone isn’t muted but the voice is muffled and inaudible.

i tested the microphone with Voice Memo, and Siri and the same issue exists

i tested the microphone with Google Assistant and the microphone works fine.

i tested the microphone with windows 10 laptop and it works fine.



What environment do you experience the issue in? 
Quiet room


When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?


microphone worked fine until I did an iOS update to 14.4.1


Any troubleshooting steps you took

1- I did a headset reset 

2- iPhone reset

3- removed and added Bluetooth pairing

nothing worked

when I press on the + and - buttons simultaneously to mute the microphone, nothing happens.


issue seems to be iOS and Bose compatiblity related

I’m sorry to hear that you seem to be experiencing some issues with your QC 35 II’s following the latest iPhone update. I’ll be happy to help you in any way that I can.


Can you tell me what type of call you are experiencing this issue on? Is this related to a VoIP call (such as Teams, Skype, Facetime), Or is this an issue with your native call feature? Or is it both? This will help to determine if the issue is related to a specific feature.


In the meantime, I would recommend clearing the pairing on your headphones using the instructions HERE. Once complete, delete the pairing on your source device as well and connect like a new connection.
