still not resolved.

 

-wifi only or with mobile data

-locations services on (have reset)

-single Bluetooth device

-bose music app log out/in

 

what’s next?

I have found a solution.

 

I did the firmware update on my mac by going to https://btu.bose.com and then follow the instruction.

Then I opened the App on my iPhone x, and now it is all activated.

 

Let me know if this doesnt work

This is absolutely not acceptable! Even for a pre-oder product for $399..... It's been 14 days!!

 

Updating firmware doesn't fix the problem!

- Iphone X, IOS 12.3.1

 

What else should be done after that?

Is there anyone there could provide a solution with detailed instructions for this issue?

Finally... The issue goes away, but I don't know why....

I have tried all the solutions posted here and to no success. Using an iPhoneX with the most updated software. 

 

This is pretty unacceptable. The old pair took about 30 seconds to pair. Why you would require us to “activate” something we just spent a lot of money on is absurd. Fix this immediately or I will return these and buy Sony headphones that are cheaper and work.

I have the same phone and os and am having the same problem.  Tried it on my Ipad Air with same results.  It was working ok for about five days and then would not connect.  I tried Bose's fixes without success.  I'ts too bad such a great company allowed this to happen.  Maybe a bit of a rush on the release date

It shouldn’t matter where we are trying to activate this from. In fact, the very need for us to even have to connect to the internet to activate and use the full complement of features for this product is absurd. We paid for it, so why go away from the simple adjustments of the previous models?

Been failing for me - with data on, with data off. Update to latest 1.1.4 firmware and still the same issue.

With only 4G and Wifi off it doesn't work at all as the app wants Wifi turned on for some reason.

 

This is bad. I am unable to tweak any of the features of the headphones and set up my voice assistant as the app doesn't connect to my product and register it. 😞
