Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.4.12 - May 12th 2020

Rolling back the firmware to the previous version with the method posted a few posts back seemed to fix my incorrect battery indicator issue. However, either the Bose app or the Google assistant instantly autoupdates the headphones back to 1.4. How can I prevent that from happening?

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.4.12 - May 12th 2020

I've updated mine and the Zoom disconnecting issues went away....

Sadly, the following are not working for me;

  1. EQ doesn't work.
  2. Pressing on the headset to hear the battery level doesn't work.
  3. When I'm Zooming via the PC and there's a notification on my mobile, I may get the PC sound off and then on again (no disconnect like it use to be).

BOSE's RND & QA has a long way in front of them..................

Stutter on sound coming from my mac and it seems to sound in mono, is there any way to go back to a previous version? I almost exclusively listen with my headphones on my mac especially during corona times

This happened to me, so I had to disconnect from Google Assistant and delete the Bose Music App. In this way, they no longer update automatically. This isn't the best solution, but I didn't find another.

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.4.12 - May 12th 2020

Can you please point me to the instructions to roll back the firmware. Since I have updated my NC 700 to the latest version, the call quality has gone really bad.

Many thanks

Rana

If you aren't a fan of the voice prompts, turn them off.

It's tucked away in settings.

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.4.12 - May 12th 2020

I have similar issue. After fully charging (white led stops blinking), on my pc, laptop, and smartphone charger it says, that i have 16 hours. After connecting to bose music app it shows that I have 17 hours. Before update everything worked fine, and i had no issues with "fully charged" message.

I've tried to "reset" headphones couple times, and nothing changed...

It looks like this battery level and other voice prompt broke down instead of fixing anything...

I'm now wondering why I wanted to have changeable EQ...

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.4.12 - May 12th 2020

I complained about this forced upgrade in my post yesterday.

"An update is available for your headphones. Press yes to install it now,  no to bypass the update".

Not every user wants to install an update immediately and blindly installing it without user acknowledgment is lousy UI practice.
