Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.7.0 - September 14th 2020

Bought my bose 700 about 6 month ago. I’m only use it for listen music, and never know about issues with stuttering or trouble with multipoint connection. But after read this topic, I’ve try to simulate all of this problems, and not found any issues, with stuttering or using two connections and it works correctly when reconnected from first to second device. Battery level shows 16 hours with full charge, this problem is really exist, in any case I’m charge my headset from 1 to 2 times per month, and it doesn’t matter for me. Bose NC 700 eclipse manufacture date November 24 2019.

I have the same problem with the 1.7 update. It bootloops about 3 to 4 times before I finally get it to connect with my phone after the update

Updated from 1.3 to latest 1.7.

Running iPhone on iOS 14 and latest version of Bose app - no issues whatsoever.
Great to see the EQ back.

Are your headphones the black model, by any chance? Also, what's the manufacture date of your headphones (you can check in the app)?

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.7.0 - September 14th 2020

I absolutely agree, the EQ is a letdown  to say the least. I had to lower the Treble and Mids to -10 and boost the Base to +10 to get any base effect. Even while listening to the DOOM Eternal soundtrack with these settings the base is barley there. Granted Bose have always sounded flat and clear, while Sony is the go to for base. Every day I regret not getting the XM4's more and more.

Mine have rebooted once so far since the update and are black, manufactured on 16th June 2019.

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.7.0 - September 14th 2020

Is this static like a crackling sound? I had static occur shortly after the update in the left ear cup only and it even occurred while no music was present. I tried disconnecting all devices and it was there. It got so bad I researched how to return my headphones but then I did something miraculous. I BLEW into the left ear cup and it stopped. I know right? It could be coincidence but if it happens again im sending them in for a swap. @Wayne_M any more reports of crackling?

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.7.0 - September 14th 2020

Hello,

I have performed the update successfully and seem to be having good luck. However i am only getting 18.5 hours of battery on a full charge. When I start the headphones, they state "battery full," but the app only shows 18.5 hours. I have also used another device (ipad) and am having the same issue.

I performed the following:

1. updated headphones to newest firmware (1.7)

2. reset the headphone

3. cleared bluetooth list and reconnected the headphone to app.

4. re-installed the app

5. logged out and logged back into app.

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.7.0 - September 14th 2020

Absolutely loving the update. Multi-point streaming now works without any 'static' noises, and the addition of the EQ is a welcome one too! Almost feels like a new device.

The only feature that I'm missing is turning off noise cancelling using the physical NC button. Right now I have to open the app every time I want to perform this action. Would be very convenient to set one of the favorites in the app to "off".
