Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.7.0 - September 14th 2020

I am on 1.5.1 with 17 hours of battery life, equalizer, and stuttering is not so bad. Reading about new bugs on 1.7.0 I'm not going to update my headphones.

If a few months were not enough for Bose to fix the software, it can be something wrong with the hardware IMO, and it is beyond repair.

It doesn't even surprise me anymore.

I am thinking to return my headphones as a faulty, and not as advertised product.

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.7.0 - September 14th 2020

Hi, looking forward to this release however btu.bose.com is not working when trying to update.

The message I receive on my screen is confusing, and appears to show both the "device up to date" and the "update available" message.

Thanks.

Just a note that there was no issue and this was my error. After checking via the Bose Music App, the v1.7 firmware was already applied.

The only feedback I can provide is that the "device is up to date" message on btu.bose.com could be made a little clearer to separate the two pieces of information presented:

1. Status that the device firmware is current

2. The features/changes included with the firmware that is in place

Cheers.

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.7.0 - September 14th 2020

@Wayne_M like other users already reporting, after the upgrade, in my case from 1.3.1 to 1.7.0, having 2 devices connected (Android 9 and Ubuntu 18.04) is now an issue whereas before it wasn't. All of a sudden the active device gets disconnected and after a couple of minutes it reconnects. This cycle keeps on repeating. This feature was one of the reasons why I bought the Bose NC 700, and after months of waiting for the major bug fixes, the users have been slapped in the face with another. Time will tell if more shall be encountered.

Also having issues with connecting and disconnecting with multiple devices, is there a way to revert to the previous firmware? This is very frustrating.

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.7.0 - September 14th 2020

Someone here updated from 1.5.1 to 1.7.0?

It looks like all these 'new' bugs have only those who update from 1.3.1

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - 1.7.0 - September 14th 2020

I've updated to 1.7.0 and I'm still unable to get a charge higher than 16hrs 40mins. Headphones purchased this year so don't believe the battery has deteriorated that much. Also getting stutter when connected to iPhone and Mac at the same time. I have to disconnect the mac to get non-stuttering music from the phone.
