Man, there is an update currently downloading in my phone 🤭😲
New firmware 1.5.1 😲
Unfortunately, 1.5.1 does not address the lower battery life or stuttering issues. 👎
I have just rang customer service and told them even after the update I get 16 hours but they say the battery will work for 20 hours but they need to work on the announcement. It’s. Bloody joke you pay £320 for a product that doesn’t work properly 😱
They are insolent 😠
Moreover, that is not true, I have 17 hrs after full charge and battery working 17 bloody hrs. Of course it depends on several factors like the loudness level or the NC level, for sure it's no more than 17 hrs.
Seriously?!!!
Just unbelievable. After all these months of waiting and this is what we get?
Firmware update happened:
Date of manufacture 9 Nov 2019
1.4.12-6283+9f658fd
TO
1.5.1-9303+d287f23
Took me 12 min to get it on a 1 gbps connection.
Not sure about the battery charging, going to test it as I write this...
But the stuttering, or distortion of youtube, songs etc are still there - horrible.
And actually it got worse. I had the distortion once in a while, now it is continuous 24/7.
Can't even use the headphone. Just great!.
Thanks, Bose for taking my money away for nothing.
Users - update risk is there. It is worthless. Its going to mess up even more.
In that case I will not update to 1.5.1
@drb17Please let us know what is the battery life...
Well, tested it for several hours of charging. Didn't go past 17 hrs.
Stuttering, distortion etc rendering the music/voice unbearable to listen.
Can't even have a decent video conference. I am not sure whether it was distorting at the other end. Felt embarrassed to ask others.
Really this is a huge failure. As I still guess with my limited knowledge, there is serious mechanical defect that cannot be fixed by firmware. And it is nearly impossible to recall all the units and fix it.
People still on the edge, better to return the unit.
I don't see the end of the tunnel anytime soon.
Yea I am done, the new Sony 1000XM4 are getting announced next week and if they have multipoint like they are supposed to I am selling these and never getting another Bose again. This product has been out for a YEAR and its still not stable. I am done.
hell its been months for this issue and you still didnt fix it.
First of all I'm not sure if this is fact or not but it seem very coincidental that there was a firmware release that did not address the two major issues in all posts and then the topic was locked for comment. The redirection to a new thread that obscures the issue and makes it very difficult, if not impossible to find, is suspicious at best. Here the link to the community admin's post.

A few questions and comments.
