Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - Reduced Battery Life Announcement

I have the same experience you've described.

• Bose product firmware version (screenshot if possible) :

https://photos.app.goo.gl/HyMR44G4JaNy54BT7

• Bose app version (screenshot if possible)

https://photos.app.goo.gl/fpLFYxwmUhuU7asE8

• Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce

After fully charge the device, check the charge lamp is solid white. Turn on the device, the audio prompts, and guidance in the application says 17 hours, and so of battery time is left.
• Where do you run into the issue? Where and when did it first occur?

This issue has occurred since updated the latest firmware.
• What services are you using that were affected, and what version are they on? (E.g. iPad Pro on iOS 12.9)

- iPhone 11 Pro Max with iOS 13.4.1

- Galaxy Note 8 with Android 9.
• When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?

Yes, it correctly worked before the update.
• Any troubleshooting steps you took and effects, if any.

Reboot(both device and phone), Re-pair, Clearing headset memory. Charge the device with a different charger.

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - Reduced Battery Life Announcement

OK Here is the  issue and really it is disappointing that Battery  life  is reduced.

How can this be. NO QA at all.  All the steps  which has been asked by us  has been done.  No luck. Fully charged shows 15hrs 30 minutes and  shows lower within 1hr. Here is the detail.  FW Version: 1.4.12.6283.9f658fd. , Date of manuf May5, 2019.  Will  there be fix available.  Bose App  I never use but for this issue downloaded and it is latest . So please guys debug this issue at Bose end.  This is widespread than you guys are thinking.  I never had to go on any forum to say so far in my life but Bose did force me to write this.  I use it on Samsung S20 ultra 5G.

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - Reduced Battery Life Announcement

HI Anne_S, here are informations requested, given that even after resetting my headphones the problem persists:

• Bose product model

- Bose NC 700 Headphones

• Bose product firmware version

https://imgur.com/a/5kg0XiE

 • Bose app version

https://imgur.com/a/25XCcxk
• Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce

- After resetting the headphones I plugged them in to my MacBook Pro to charge and after fully charging (which is indicated by the static white light), both the voice prompts and the app indicate that I have 14 hours and 30 minutes left of battery, but the icon is not full which means the white light is not properly indicating the charging status.
• Where do you run into the issue? Where and when did it first occur?

- I run into this issue every time I charge the headphones and it first occurred after updating to the latest firmware version.
• What services are you using that were affected and what version are they on?

- It doesn't affect any other services apart from the headphones, but I am using an iPhone X on iOS 13.4.1 and a MacBook Pro w/ Touch Bar on MacOS 10.15.4.
• When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?

- The issue appeared after updating to the latest firmware version and everything worked properly in the previous version.

• Any troubleshooting steps you took and effets, if any.

- I followed your instructions.

• Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce

After a full charge of the headphones (solid white light), the headphones announces Battery 16 hours (sometimes 17 hours) instead of Battery Full. The battery status from the app is consistent with the information from the headphones. This battery level goes down pretty quickly when I have started using the headphones. Therefore the actual battery level could be really reduced. Before the firmware update, the battery level was usually over 19 hours after a full charge.

• Where do you run into the issue? Where and when did it first occur?

After the new firmware update
• What services are you using that were affected and what version are they on? (E.g. iPad Pro on iOS 12.9)

The headphones alone are already affected.

iPhone XS Max on iOS 13.4.1
• When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?

After the new firmware update

It seemed to work properly before.
• Any troubleshooting steps you took and effects, if any.

I have followed the suggested steps to reset the headphones. The problem still exists. I have also tried to continue charging the headphones after the solid white light but the maximum battery level is still reduced to around 17 hours instead of 19.

A full charge is just 14hours, no matter how long I charge it. I have auto sleep disabled but motion detection on from day one. Reset didn't help

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - Reduced Battery Life Announcement

I have upgraded the firmware and now have this issue too. When fully charged, the battery life announces 16 hours and 58 minutes.

The reset procedure didn't solve that issue.

Re: Noise Cancelling 700 Firmware Update - Reduced Battery Life Announcement

Having the same issues that everyone is describing. Started with the previous firmware stating that I had 18h, some days ago it stopped mentioning "battery full" and started to say "18h" after charging the battery. Noticed that as soon I made the firmware update to the 1.4.12 it decreased to 14h from the 17h before the update. Now I have reset several times and the batter does not go further than 16h. At first, the iOS system was showing as 80% after fully charged, after resetting shows 100% but with 16h and 30 m. I hope this is fixed soon as it is unbelievable the number of issues for the price it costs. Sending the info below:

- Bose NC 700;
- Firmware and App Version -> https://photos.app.goo.gl/4tbHEE7s4yQpTp4f9
- I charge until the white light stops blinking and it states that I have 16h and 30m of battery, before it was showing 18:30/40 and no fully charged voice prompt, it just says the time. Reset has been made 6 times (!);
- It went worst when updating to 1.4.12 but it was already showing wrong battery in the previous firmware;
- Using an iPhone 6S in latest iOS update;

Please fix this, just want them to work as it should for the price.
