Pressed the volume buttons to try and reset and now there is no function

I thought I remembered that you can reset the headphones to remove all prior pairings with a series of holding the buttons down. I think I overloaded them and now they wont even function.
When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?
Any troubleshooting steps you took
I pressed the volume buttons together, then I held the bluetooth button, then I looked up there is a way to factory reset through powering off and a series of attaching the power supply.
