I've seen this issue discussed about the 700's but not the QC 35 so i thought it best to start a new thread.
My QC 35's seem to work great with most everything other than Discord. Sadly this is a problem since I use discord fairly frequently. Whenever I connect, there are 2 options for output to the headset. The "stereo" option or the hands-free AG audio. The hands-free option works, but the sound quality is so inferior compared to the stereo. I'd be OK with this for just talking on discord, but all sounds change to that setting, not just discord. If I change the option to the stereo though, sound cuts out either to discord or everything other than discord. This seems to also affect the microphone. If discord's sound cuts out, than the microphone will work and other people will be able to hear me (but i can't hear them), but if discord's sound stays (meaning everything else cuts out) the microphone won't work.
I've tried connecting like this to 3 different computers and all have the same problem, making me believe it's not a software problem. Either there is a hardware problem, or more likely, its just how these headphones work.
I run on windows 10 with the newest November 2019 update (Version 10.0.18362 Build 18362). I have done all the classic fixes like computer/headphone restarts and driver updates/reinstall. My QC 35 II's are brand new, fresh out of the box.
I've put a lot of time into this and am getting very frustrates since these aren't exactly cheep. I'm pretty sure at this point that it's just how they work with discord, which sadly means i'll need to return them. This is a real shame since the stereo option sounds great, but my headphones from 5 years ago sound better than the hands-free AG option.
I hope I'm wrong and someone can give me advice on how to fix this.
Solved! Solution.
