QC 35II No sound from MacBook Pro

I have QC 35II connected to MacBook Pro and iPhone.  I am unable to hear the sound from the MacBook Pro in the headphones even though I am connected and the audio is paused on the iPhone.  If I hardwire to the MacBook Pro I hear the sound perfectly.  Even though the headphones tell me I am connected, when I go to Bluetooth in the MacBook Pro and go to preferences, it says "not connected".  I think I need it to say "connected" and then to choose the output option of headphones.  Any advice?

Hi Tom3046,

Thanks for your post and welcome to the community. I am very sorry to hear that you are having connection issues with your headphones, however I would love to assist further!

Firstly, I would recommend that you reboot the MacBook as well as the headphones. You can perform a product reset on your QC35 II Headphones via:

  1. Turn off the headset and wait 30 seconds
  2. Plug the headset into a wall outlet using a USB charger, then wait 5 seconds
  3. Unplug the USB cord from the headset and wait 1 minute
  4. Turn on the headset

I would also recommend testing connecting to the MacBook without the iPhone also connected?

Please update me on the result of these steps.

Kind Regards,

1) Plug headphones into power supply

2) Remove the power supply

3) Goto system preference -> sound -> output -> select your bose head phone

4)Enjoy!
