Re: QC35 II not connecting to Win10

I have looked at Bose, Intel (for bluetooth driver), reddit, youtube and Win 10 Forums to find a solution to this generic problem that everyone seems to be having. I have removed, and reinstalled the latest drivers for bose, for bluetooth and for sound drivers. The win10 is up-to-date. I have removed the hands free bluetooth service that fixes some peoples problems but not mine. I am out of ideas and posting this in intel, and windows in the mean time as well. Does anyone have a real solution to this problem that seems to be caused by not being able integrate between Bose, Intel Bluetooth Driver and Win 10 Operating system.

Re: QC35 II not connecting to Win10

I cannot connect to Headset's mic on my PC via Bluetooth.

I have Window 10, all updates installed: Feature update to Windows 10, version 1909 (2)

Headset is updated with http://btu.bose.com/

If I go to Control Panel > Sound:

  • Playback tab:

Headphones - connected   (so I can listen only)

Headset - disconnected     (this is a problem)

  • Recording tab:

Headset - disconnected     (this is a problem, that's why mic is not working)

Please advise.

UPD: PROBLEM SOLVED:

I've managed to solve the problem myself just by buying the new external Bluetooth device!!!

So the problem was laptop's internal Bluetooth, which was 4.0 with the latest official manufacturer's drivers.

Steps to fix:

1) Remove (forget) Bose's headphones from the list of Bluetooth devices on laptop

2) Disable laptop's built-in Bluetooth in BIOS

3) On headphones: Press and hold the Power/Bluetooth button for 10 seconds, until you hear “Bluetooth device list cleared”, then turn-off the headphones.

4) Plug in the new external Bluetooth device to laptop

5) Try to connect and hooray I can see "Connected voice, music" on the final dialog on finishing setup connection!

OMG!!!!!

QC35 not conneting to windows 10

I have an earlier pair of QC35s I purchased when they first came to market. I have always had trouble maintaining Bluetooth connection with Windows 10 and would frequently need to re-pair, reboot or resort to the audio cable when using them with my laptop. Currently I cannot connect via Bluetooth to my laptop and I have intermittent success pairing with my iPhone using the BoseConnect app.

In addition to my usual routine to get them to connect to my laptop  I have just updated the headphone firmware through the BoseConnect app.

My usual routine to get them to connect with my laptop is:

1) Toggle Bluetooth off and on again on the Bluetooth and other devices screen via Windows Settings. If this fails;

2) 'Remove device' from the list of Bluetooth items on the Bluetooth and other devices screen via Windows Settings, then re-pair by selecting Add Bluetooth or other device on the same screen. If this fails;

3) Repeat step 2 and also hold Bluetooth switch on the headphones until 'Bluetooth device list cleared. Ready to pair' is heard through the headphones, then re-pair in the way described above. If this fails;

4) Repeat step 3 and also open Device Manager > Bluetooth, select the headphones from the list of Bluetooth devices and press delete on the keyboard, then re-pair in the way described in step 2. If that fails;

5) Repeat step 4 but before doing so, reboot the headphones (turn headphones off and wait at least 30 seconds, connect to mains power via USB for at least 5 seconds, disconnect and wait one minute before switching the headphones back on). If that fails;

6) Be disappointed by the fact that connection via Bluetooth isn't going to happen and may miraculously happen at some stage in the future.

On my phone when I cannot pair using the BoseConnect app, I will go to Settings > Bluetooth > My Devices, select the headphones in the list and Forget Device. I will re-pair via the BoseConnect app.

I am currently able to connect via Bluetooth to my iPhone, but with my laptop I am at step 7) Contact Bose Support. What else can I try?

Thanks in advance.

Re: QC35 not conneting to windows 10

In my case, I finally tracked my issue to a fault with the wifi/bluetooth card in my laptop. I have installed a new card (AUD 29) and my headphones are now operating as they should - and my wifi connection is faster as an added bonus 🙂

My troubleshooting involved trying the headphones with other computers, trying other headphones with my computer and finally swapping wifi/bluetooth cards between computers to prove 100% that the issue was with the card before buying another.

It was easy to blame the headphones when in fact they were trying to do their thing all along!

I hope this helps if someone has tried all software solutions kindly suggested on this or other forums.

Re: QC35 not conneting to windows 10

After almost falling in despair, here is what worked for me:

- in the search field on the bottom of the screen type "Settings";

- click on "bluetooth and other devices";

- click on "more bluetooth options";

- mark the "Allow Bluetooth devices to find this PC" checkbox; then click "Apply" and "OK";

- turn off bluetooth;

- restart the computer;

- slide the power-connection button of the phone to the right and hold for 10 seconds, until you hear a message that confirms it's been cleared;

- turn bluetooth on and click on "add bluetooth or other device";

- once you QC35 is recognized, unmark the checkbox mentioned above and click OK;

- click on "Devices and printers";

- manually add a new device and make sure your QC 35 is recognized;

- click play on anything with sound;

- Cry Tears of Joy (I read it from someone else in the community, and that´s what I did).

BoseQC35 II shows paired with my Windows 10 notebook but unable to connect audio

I have my Bose QC35 Series II paired with Windows10 notebook but unable to connect the audio via the headset. I dont see the headset in my Playback sound window hence unable to connect.

I have tried to re-pair the device multiple times but still the same issue.

The headset works fine with my iphone and Android phone, just doesnt work with my Windows notebooks.

QC35 II and Windows 10

Hi - my previous Windows 10 PC I somehow had my QC35 II headphones working well with it after a lot of fiddling which was a few years ago so I no longer remember exactly what I did. But after I fiddled with it, when I turned headphones on, it would actually connect in headphone mode, as opposed to headset.  Just got a new Windows 10 PC and now it seems a little random but it almost always connects in headset mode which is terrible for normal use due to poor sound quality.  I only want it to go into headset mode if I am on some sort of voice call i.e. Skype, Zoom, etc.  How do I get it to connect in headphone mode by default?  This seems way more difficult than it should be.

QC35 II not connecting to Win10

Hi.

I've had my Bose QC35 II headphones since December of 2019, and have only had a few minor issues with them since then. However, after updating to the Windows 10 May 2020 update today, my headphones have been skipping audio every second. Youtube videos jump when the audio does as well. I've tried watching the videos without the headphones switched on and they play fine, so it's definitely the headphones.

I've tried all the usual tricks, including:
>Trying it with no other devices paired to the headphones,

>Unpairing and re-pairing all devices by sliding the power button all the way for ten seconds,

>Plugging it in to a power source for 5 seconds to reboot the device.

Are there any solutions to my problem? Thanks.
