The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Please visit our support homepage to experience one of our many other digital service channels or simply use your Community log-in credentials to sign in to your My Bose Account to view your orders and view support options.

Thank you to all who have contributed and benefited from interacting in our Community. We look forward to continuing to serve you online.

Quiet comfort 35 II keeps disconnecting

My quiet comfort headphones keeps disconnecting, I’ve tried all the solutions provided in the forums, yet nothing worked, I’ve spoken to customer service at Bose and all they told me was to exchange my headphones and pay 200$, this is extremely frustrating and disappointing after spending 300 bucks they don’t work right after your warranty expires and Bose seems to have no answer for the problem in their headsets, ive tried on Multiple OS Android, IOS, Windows etc, everywhere the issue persists, Bose needs to get their house in order or else stop selling junk!!

Re: Quiet comfort 35 II keeps disconnecting

Hey Madapa,

Thank you for taking the time to post - I hope you love the sound of your QuietComfort 35 II headphones!

I'm sorry you're running into issues with your headphones, but I'd be happy to advise. I appreciate you checking out the Community forums as you'll find some great assistance from other users and Bose moderators. Regarding service options, this depends on your warranty, but this will be from your date of purchase, and we will always look at ways to find you a suitable resolution, regardless of warranty status.

For the issue you're experiencing, be sure to try all steps from our support pages online HERE, and also ensure your product firmware is up-to-date HERE. If you continue to find no improvement, do reach out to support again, and they will resolve this issue and get you the replacement headset that you need. Let us know on this thread if you have any other queries regarding things.

Re: Quiet comfort 35 II keeps disconnecting

I've tried everything listed again today, but no use. None of the things you suggested work. Firmware is also up to date. Let me know what my options are.

@Madapa, I am so sorry you are continuing to have this issue. As you have tried all troubleshooting steps, the best option here would be to reach out to your local customer support center and explore the service options for your headset. You can do this by clicking this link here, selecting your region, scrolling to the bottom of the page, and selecting contact us. If you are in the US or UK you can also reach out via Facebook or Twitter and one of our team can help you there. Or you can book in an exchange on the UK or US website by selecting the option under the 'Support Tab'.

Re: Quiet comfort 35 II keeps disconnecting

@Madapa(I do not work for Bose)

Before you definitively assume that it is a hardware bluetooth problem on the Bose end, let's confirm this.  Otherwise you may end up with a replacement that has the same problem.

What is it disconnecting from and are you always doing the same things on the other end when it disconnects.  Does it disconnect whether you are playing audio through it or just in random locations?

Can we assume that you not only initialized your QC35ii but totally (and I mean totally) wiped out all your pairings on the other side and rebooted/restarted the other end?  You may want to restart the other end both before wiping out the pairings (and then test) and after wiping out the pairings.

So tell us exactly who was talking to who and what was going on when there was a disconnection?  And whether there were different sequences leading up to the disconnection?

Re: Quiet comfort 35 II keeps disconnecting

When I am listening to songs or talking to someone via my headset, it just keeps dropping and then reconnects again automatically. so far i have tried at multiple locations and also made sure all my Bluetooth devices in the house are tuned off. I cleared all the Bluetooth connections from my headset as well as my device and then restarted them as well. If you know any other way to erase the list, please feel free to let me know, I would be happy to give it a try. This problem started off randomly, and still continues from last 6 months.

Re: Quiet comfort 35 II keeps disconnecting

@xmadapa

1. Just make sure that you start with an empty list on both the QC35 and the phone

2. Does it happen when you use an app that does NOT work with the internet like play audio directly off the phone.  You need to determine if somehow the Intenet/streaming is part of the problem.  Does it happen both with 4G/5G and WIFI or just one of them - change your phone calling to voice over WIFI.  For audio - pick an app that can load an MP3 directly on the phone and play it (I use Ecoute).

3. Try connecting to another phone (different make/model) to see if you have the same issue.  If not, it could be a recent phone software update (OS or perhaps another resident app that is also simultaneously communicates over the Internet at the same time so you may want to experiment by stopping ALL apps from working in the background).
