QuietComfort 35 beeping on volume change

My QuietComfort 35 have started beeping every time I press a volume button.  It still changes the volume, but it's really irritating!  How do I disable this?

Hi User192019,

Thanks for posting. That is interesting. Could I ask a few questions to try and assist?

  • Is this something that happened recently?
  • Could you try pairing it to another mobile device and see if that helps?

Regards,

Re: QuietComfort 35 beeping on volume change

I do not work for Bose. I have a QC35 and I do hear the beeping as well.  But that only happens when I try to make it louder and it is already at max volume.  That is 'expected / designed behavior' and not a problem.  Is that your experience or are you hearing beeping all the time whether you hit + or - ?

I do not believe there is a way to change this behavior.

Mine does the same too. I just got a new QC35 II, and it is irritating.

Re: QuietComfort 35 beeping on volume change

Hello everyone,

Sorry for any confusion. To confirm, the volume "tones" are part of the headset design. It is present when no audio is coming through the headphones.

You may test this by trying the following:

Adjusting the volume up and down when streaming music - you should not hear a tone until it reaches the maximum and lowest volume setting.

Try pressing the volume up and down without audio playing - The tones are present and heard every time the buttons are pressed.

This is not a feature that can be disabled but we do appreciate the feedback.

Thanks again,
