Third party repair services?

I have a QuietComfort 15 headset which is out of warranty.  Bose will replace it with a newer model for a slightly discounted price, but I would rather pay for repair.  Bose unfortunately does not offer that possibility.  Does anybody know of any third party repair services for these headsets?

Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce:

  Does not power on at all

 

What environment do you experience the issue in? (e.g. noisy office, quiet kitchen, etc.)

 

When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?

  About 3 months ago.  Worked perfectly before that.  Hasn't worked since.

 

Any troubleshooting steps you took

  Brand new batteries, inserted correctly.  Cleaned battery compartment with high pressure air gun, and again with Q-tip and alcohol.
