The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Soundtouch and Alexa

What are the plans/timeline to integrate Amazon's Alexa with the Soundtouch app?

We view Alexa in the SoundTouch ecosystem as a phased approach. The first exposure you all will see is the Alexa skill which we expect to be available in the coming weeks. We are looking at how that skill will manifest in the app, and based on usage we will progress the Alexa capabilities for SoundTouch from there. There's a sticky post in the main page about the functionality we expect to deliver with the Skill intitially.

Don't know why I am so disappointed. Same old canned answers, no dates, no commitments.

Why don't you just pick a date you know you can meet, say Sept 2017, but announce Dec 2017. I REALLY doubt anyone would be disappointed if you beat the announced target date.

"In the coming weeks" do you mean in the next 52 weeks or the next 104 weeks?

Mike, how is this any different from answers provided last September? Can you share with the community why launching this skill has been so challenging for the development team. Maybe that can ease the frustration we have. In this industry upgrades of this nature don't roll out this slow. I am certain if there was a more open API the community would've developed this skill 6 months ago.
