Why are new features and bug fixed released so slowly after identified?

Hi,

Why is the rate of release for new features and bug fixes done so slowly? Even you said it will be fixed in the next firmware upgrade, it doesn't happen after so many months.

For example,

- ST auto power off option.

- QC microphone issues.

Hey, good question. Thank you.

First, I see posts occassionally that talk about us "abandoning" the SoundTouch ecosystem. NOT THE CASE. Quite the opposite actually. We are working on new features, new services and new experiences across the SoundTouch ecosystem.

We do recognize that we could go faster, one of our focus areas has been on consistency of technologies between products. This consistency will help us optimize to speed up both developement and testing. This will be applied to the entire ecosystem with the goal of that work being faster software releases that will allow us to be more reactive. Even more specifically, we’re working on a separate project to speed up music service delivery. These improvements have already started and work will be ongoing in this area.

"We are working on new features, new services and new experiences across the SoundTouch ecosystem"

But Mike, that somewhat contradicts your earlier "integrating Google Play or Cast into our existing systems is unlikely" comment in this Q&A.
