xlr 5 pin assignment

Hi anyone knows the pin assignement of the XLR 5? (like in the manual the 6- pin wiring)

Thanks for posting and joining the community!

The XLR 5 Pin, often called the Airbus plug, is a mono connection to the aircraft and, depending on the installation, may be powered by the aircraft. The XLR 5 Pin is a standard-based connector adopted by Airbus and the pin layout would be as follows:

• Pin 1: Positive earphone channel (Mono)
• Pin 2: Negative earphone channel (Mono)
• Pin 3: Positive microphone channel
• Pin 4: Negative microphone channel
• Pin 5: External power (Optional/ANR)

Hi,

I’m going to build an adaptor for my u174 plugged A20 headset to allow me to use it in Airbus aircraft (it’s the one adaptor that I can’t see for sale).

I see the pinouts on this thread, thanks, but it would be useful to have them on a photo or drawing of the plug if possible.
