Will the QC35 headset boom mic work with QC25 headphones as well?

Hi, I'm interested in using the boom mic from the QC35 gaming headset (planning to buy) for my QC25 headphones in a closed area (secret) to attend remote conference meetings.  Does anyone know if that setup would work?  The software would be Avaya One-X for VOIP communication.

The reason I ask is that wireless devices are not permitted in a closed area.

Bose product name

Country

Firmware Version

(1.0.7, 4.8.1, 1.7.0, etc.)

App Version

(4.1.1, 13.0.2, etc.)

What devices were you using that were affected and what version are they on

(Samsung Galaxy S9 on Android 11, iPhone X on iOS14, etc.)

Detailed description of the issue and steps to reproduce

What environment do you experience the issue in?

(noisy office, quiet kitchen, etc.)

When did you start to experience the issue? Did it work correctly previously?

Any troubleshooting steps you took

Hey @BillRTX, welcome to the Bose Community!

The boom mic is not engineered to work with the QC25's. Just so you know, when using the QC35 II Gaming Headset with the boom mic, the connection to your device will be wired and not wireless. I'm not sure if you'd still be allowed the device due to the optional wireless capabilities but I thought that was worth mentioning just incase.
