The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Please visit our support homepage to experience one of our many other digital service channels or simply use your Community log-in credentials to sign in to your My Bose Account to view your orders and view support options.

Thank you to all who have contributed and benefited from interacting in our Community. We look forward to continuing to serve you online.

BOSE QC II-Crackling sound is occurring after every 30 seconds even when u r not listening anything

Hi,
I bought my QC 35 II on 11th May 2019 and everything seems to be perfect in the first couple of months and then suddenly out of nowhere it started to produce "one second" crackling sound like a buzz. The noise is like the disturbance from the untune RADIO channel.
At first, it didn't take it seriously as it was only happening twice or thrice in a day and it wasn't constant, and somewhere in my mind I was presuming and blaming the online audio for poor quality audio content. Gradually the frequency of disturbance increased, and it started to happen 3-4 time in an hour session through headphones. Now it is happening like after every 30-60 seconds even when you are not listening to any audio or anything.

I request you to look into the issue and get it resolved ASAP.
I think there is some issue with your noise-cancelling hardware as the disturbance doesn't happen when the noise cancellation is turned off.

Hello Abhishek,

Thanks for reaching out. I am sorry that you are experiencing some static with your QuietComfort 35 II Headphones.

I would firstly suggest performing a reset of your headphones. Instruction on how to do this can be found below.

  • Turn off the headset and wait 30 seconds
  • Plug the headset into a wall outlet using a USB charger, then wait 5 seconds
  • Unplug the USB cord from the headset and wait 1 minute
  • Turn on the headset

Following this, check for any available firmware updates for your headphones. This can be done via a computer using a USB and visiting our firmware update website btu.bose.com

Do let us know if this provides any improvements.

Kind regards,

Tegan M - Community Support
