I bought a Bose QuietControl 30 about 18 months ago and they worked perfectly, until a few days ago:
A few minutes after turning them off (with battery at about 90% or more), I wanted to turn them back on but they just won't turn on anymore. The on-switch did nothing.
I tried plugging them in (even though I knew the battery was full) and it just showed a solid red light for about 30 seconds and that's it.
I tried following the reset guide, but also didn't help.
Also can't try to update since they won't turn on.
It's very strange that they just suddently died with no physical or any damage whatsoever.
Since it's been 18 months they're out of warrenty. What can be done?

As it appears the headphones are no longer holding a charge and unable to power on, I would recommend contacting your local Customer Support Team for further assistance.

It doesn't seem like a charge problem since it worked minutes before, and the battery was fine (almost full, doesn't lose charge).
Anyway I tried contacting the local Bose representivie and after a week in their lab they just said it can't be fixed (not even for money!).
It's very upseting, since these are very expensive earphones and they only lasted 18 months under fair usage.

Looks like these expensive earphones are very problematic, and it's very disappointing that a company like Bose does not recognize it, and offer me no options other than to buy new ones (which I of course now have no incesntive to buy from these brand)
Is this local Bose representative you contacted a company Bose sent you to when you contacted them via the link above? Or did you find one on your own?
Thanks. What did they say was wrong with them? Just a guess on my part but since they are off warranty it sounds like it costs more to repair them than replace them. Maybe one of the moderators can find out.

Thanks, that's what I tried though, they just said it cannot be fixed. didn't supply any other info or resolution.
Guess I should've read the many reviews (here, and on Amazon) stating that these earphones just randomly die and nothing you can do about it (especially if it's after the warrenty period)
