The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Please visit our support homepage to experience one of our many other digital service channels or simply use your Community log-in credentials to sign in to your My Bose Account to view your orders and view support options.

Thank you to all who have contributed and benefited from interacting in our Community. We look forward to continuing to serve you online.

Re: Bose Soundsport Free Firmware Update 2.5.6

If that's true...that really sucks. Waiting for the answer on this one too.

Re: Bose Soundsport Free Firmware Update 2.5.6

Hello,

I am also still sufferring with the lag when using iPhone, but no lag at-all when using Mac Book Pro. Why is there a difference? My iPhone is new my Mac is old. Can anyone explain the technican difference between to two bluetooth systems?

Re: Bose Soundsport Free Firmware Update 2.5.6

Well, my left bud will randomly disconnect now and not come back unless they fully shut down, or if I put them in the case and out again.  So bad.

I have the same problem. Regarding YouTube. I managed to use safari on my iPhone to watch YouTube without latency. But I really hope that this issue will be resolved soon!

Re: Bose Soundsport Free Firmware Update 2.5.6

I have new Garmin vivoactive watch. These Bose's have been so frustrating. First big cut out delays ..a few firmwares ago fixed that a bit. Next left earpiece won't connect (well sometimes it does)....then last run, left would not work at all, and then they disconnected from watch 4 times during. 35 min run.

Just loaded new firmware 2.5.6, will be interesting to see if this fixes it.

On positive front, now finally connect with peleton bike, and seems to work very well with my Pixel 2 XL.

The Garmin stuff is driving me crazy thougb

Re: Bose Soundsport Free Firmware Update 2.5.6

I just purchased the BOSE Soundsport Free earbuds. Absolutely love them. Out of the box, I was experiencing most of the audio lag issues as everyone here. I had to do two firmware updates, one I did from the bose app from my iPhone 7. It took about 45min. I didn't realise there was a second update so I completed the second update by connecting the Bose case (eare buds in the case with the case open) with the micro usb to my MacAir. Only took about 10min. No more lag and any source of audio I've tried e.g. Netflix, YouTube, Google video from either device. I feel I did anything special, all my software and apps are up to date.

Everything is working great, I hope the rest of you can get it working for you. I found it effortlessly.

The range on these is about 15-20 feet away from my iPhone before they start cutting out.
