New QC35 II no volume and no bluetooth

Brand new (from Bose) QC35 II headphones will not connect to my iphone 8 (version 12.0.1) or my wife's iphone6.

 

When I try to connect bluetooth on either device, it doesn't show up.  When I use Bose app, it doesn't show up.

When I slide power button to the right for 10 seconds there is no voice. 

 

If I use the cable, I can hear music, but there is no noise canceling.

Return them; they clearly are DOA.

This is not a common problem.

They are likely defective and should be returned.

@dantusb Sorry to hear about your trouble with the headphones, especially so soon. We'd like to agree that these headphones need service or exchanged from the point of purchase.
