QC 35 battery drains after firmware update

I updated firmware (version 2.5.3) a week or two ago. Since then, the battery seems to drain soon even when the QC35 switch is powered off.

Hi superboom,

Thanks for writing in and sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your headphones. Can you try a few troubleshooting steps for us?

Can you verify the headphones are fully charged before use?

Also, can you please try performing a headset reset and see how the battery behaves?

Here are the steps to reset the headphones:

  1. Turn the headset off and wait for 30 seconds.
  2. Plug the headset into a USB power supply via USB cord and wait 5 seconds. (Power supply needs to be plugged into the wall with power on).
  3. Unplug the USB cord from the headset and wait 1 minute.
  4. Turn on the headset and test if the headset works properly.

Let us know how everything works out for you.

Thank you again and have a great rest of your day.

Re: QC 35 battery drains after firmware update

I already charged it to 100%. It went to 30% within an hour. Plugged it to charge, it went up to 80% charge within 2-3 mins. Started using it again, after 7-8 mins, it says battery is at 30% charge.

Re: QC 35 battery drains after firmware update

Did the steps again. Charged the headset all night, alomost 8 hours, it was at 100%. Then rebooted as per the instructions. It seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks.
