QC35 3.5mm jack type

Hi Bose

The cable which ships with the QC35 is tripolar which supports audio transmission, I'm wondering if the headphones actually support a quadpolar 2.5->3.5mm jack cable to also carry the mic signal over cable too? Or do I need to resort to a cable such as this one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Replacement-Audio-Cable-For-Bose-QC25-QC35-SoundLink-around-ear-II-Headph...Smiley Tongue

which has a built in mic for it work with my single 3.5mm jack laptop?

Thanks!

I'll respond myself on this one as I managed to find this thread:

Answer is no, qc35 doesnt support quadpolar 3.5mm jack to carry mic signal, I need to buy the replacement cable with an inline mic on it.
