QC35II bluetooth connection issues

Hi,

I have a set of QC35II headphones. The headphones are a few years old.

Unfortunately today they stopped connecting to my iPhone. Currently the headphones are on, with a solid green light. The buttons do not work (all) and whilst the active noise cancelling is on I cannot see the headphones on the Bose Connect App.

I have tried the 'turn off for 30s, Plug in for 5s, unplug and wait 1m' reboot, and additionally I have tried un-pairing the headphones with my device (device has been forgotten on the iPhone, the headphones do not reset the bluetooth paired devices when I hold the button in position for 10s - I have tried longer, circa 30s to no avail).

I have been unable to find alternative solutions on this forum.

Thank you for your help.

Re: QC35II bluetooth connection issues

Hi daveyg,

I am sorry that your QuierComfort 35 II headphones no longer appear to be responding. Thanks for already looking into some great troubleshooting.

Can you connect your headphones to any device?

If you use a wired connection do you get audio through the headphones?

I would suggest in updating the firmware. This can be done via a computer using a USB and visiting our firmware update website btu.bose.com, which will provide you with full instructions.

Do let us know how you get on.

Re: QC35II bluetooth connection issues

Thanks for your response.

I tried a wired connection to play music and unfortunately the headphones don't respond either. Overnight they have started repeatedly stating that they are "connecting to david's iPhone" and "The battery is xx%", and additionally there is an intermittent clicking noise.

I have tried to update the hardware using the link/app you've provided but it doesn't appear to recognize the device when I've plugged the USB in. Although once plugged in it shows a flashing yellow light which I understand indicates charging.

kind regards,
David
