QuietComfort 35 microphone wired

Got couple of questions about using QuietComfort 35 II by wired mode:

1) Does 3.5 cable that came with product support mic when using splitter?

2) Can You use ANC with wired mode with or without bluetooth turned on (needs comment)?

Hello there, rtop!

Thank you for writing in. Great questions.

The 3.5mm to 2.5mm cable that comes with the QC35 is for audio only. It does not come with an inline microphone, in this case, it will most likely not support this splitter. You might still get audio as usual, if anything.

To your second question, yes, you can have ANC. Just be sure to still power on the headset.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions, or need clarification.

Thank you again!

Re: QuietComfort 35 microphone wired

Thank You for quick reply.

In this case, does QC 35 support mic + audio through another cable?

For example: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07C19R7LX

Re: QuietComfort 35 microphone wired

@rtop you are welcome and thank you for the update.

We recommend a QC 25 Android communication cable. You can take a look at one here.

Thank you again, and let me know if you have any further questions.

@Mohsin_S

I have one question about this topic, can you still use a splitter? If so what splitter would I need to use (UK link please).

Thank you.

Re: QuietComfort 35 microphone wired

Hello TheBeaglePro

Thanks for writing in!

Do you plan on using communication with the cable or just splitting audio for listening?  If it's just for audio, then any 3.5mm splitter would work with the included cable.

Let us know so we can further assist!

Warm Regards,

Re: QuietComfort 35 microphone wired

What I would like to know is do you have to use the communication cable to get the microphone signal to transmit or can you use the normal cable that comes with the headphones.

The type of splitter I mean is like the one that splits one cable into two, audio and microphone. E.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Headphone-Splitter-Computer-Smartphone-Headset/dp/B074N73S24/ref=sr_1_15?ie... .

Thank you.

Re: QuietComfort 35 microphone wired

Hello TheBeaglePro,

The QC35II audio cable only passes audio. When the cable is connected everything but the noise canceling is disabled. For this reason, if you wish to establish voice communication when wired, you will need a cable with an inline mic. We recommend the QC25 cable which has that inline mic. If you are trying to split the audio and mic signals to connect with, for example, the front panel audio/mic ports on your PC the cable you linked may work though we have not tested it here. If you do test it, please share your results with the community. Thanks!
