SOUNDLINK COLOR II BASS WAY TOO LOUD

Dear Customer Service,

I just unboxed your Soundlink Color II and tried a song from Spotify at low volume and the low frequencies are way too loud and almost annoying to listen to.

 

I'm a music producer and I bought your device to have a reference commercial tool but I definitely cannot use it because of this overpresence of low range freq.

Please tell me if this may be a defect of my single device or it's a "peculiarity" of this model?

 

I've read suggestion to EQ the sound source but that's simply unacceptable and cause my purchase to be useless since I often change source.

Hey Jarov,

 

Welcome to the community and congratulations on your new speaker!  Sorry to hear that the audio quality is poor - I'm thinking that your speaker may be experiencing a defect but I would like to try one troubleshooting step first to make sure.

 

  1. Connect the speaker to power
  2. Press and hold the Multi-function button for 10 seconds
  3. While continuing to hold the Multi-function button, unplug the speaker from power
  4. Release the Multi-function button

 

If this doesn't help then I would recommend reaching out to customer support here.  Just select your country and scroll down to where you see "contact us".
