The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

I think most of us has done all the possible steps to make it work. I had my set replaced knowing it won't fix the issue anyway. Indeed it was true. The only way to use my Bose heartrate integration with Healthkit is to restart phone everytime I want to use it.
I have a follow-up question for all of you.
Do any of you have another wellness device such as a Fitbit? I'm curious if this issue is consistent across several types and brands of devices.

Because this has been such an issue, I am just using a recently purchased apple watch. It has no issues showing the heart rate in the apple home kit.
Just updated to software 1.5.1 with latest iOS 11.2.6 and testing it on 11.3 beta. Still doesn't work properly. Same issue.
Only way for the heart rate to be in Health app is to restart phone every time you want to use the Pulse earphones. Disappointing Bose, it's almost a year wait should I return it and get an Apple Watch instead?

I have been frustrated by this problem as well. Worked well in iOS 10, not so much in iOS 11. It connects fine in RunKeeper for me, but Apple Health almost never works. I use the Nike Running app though and it doesn't directly connect with any HRM -- it relies on Apple Health.
I went poking around Apple's help pages and found this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/8091959. It's not a solution, but it sounds like this is exactly the same bahavior with a different product -- a Polar H10 heart rate monitor. Perhaps this is an iOS issue...

As @LiterOfCola mentioned in the above post, there are very similar reports of this issue with other brand products as well, the common thread between these cases being iOS 11. Here is the link again. In the comments section on this Apple forum post, many users agree and chime in to say that they've experienced this on the most recent software versions.
With all of the intricacies of software development, these issues can occur. We have done what we can on our end to help you all and encourage you to take a look at some of the workarounds users have shared in the community.
