A suggestion for Bose engineers: Currently, my soundlink bluetooth headphones annouce if a device gets connected/disconnected. However, if the device name has only emoji characters in it's name, then there is a few seconds of silence since the text-to-speech must be confused. Hence I suggest if that's the case, the headphones could simply announce something to the effect of "Audio device with non-speakable characters disconnected".
Thanks for the post. That is a new one. It depends on what the phone is broadcasting for a name. If its an emoji, it might not be putting out a name that can be verbalized.. You might want to consult with the phones manufacturer.
Yeah I know it can't be verbalized, that's what I wrote above. Your firmware text-to-speech needs to handle it in an innovative way. The name is reflected correctly as emoji characters within the Bose connect app.
