Bose 700 UC USB Module - Compatibility with other devices

Does anyone know if the Bluetooth Module which comes with the Bose 700 UC headphones is:

1) Compatible with other devices?  I.e. Can I connect a Bluetooth mouse to my computer through it?

2) Uses Bluetooth 5 technology, instead of older versions?

Hey Dalevy, 

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forums. 

The UC chip on the headphones is specifically designed for our headphones, it will not work for other purposes like a Bluetooth mouse. In terms of the version, it uses Bluetooth 5.0, the same as the NC 700 use without the chip.
