Re: OSHA CERTIFIED?

Hi grinboots,

Thank you for joining the Bose Hear Community.

I took a flash through https://www.osha.gov/ and couldn't find a definition of "OSHA Certified".

Is there another reference to help me understand your question?

Thank you,

Perhaps this is what he is asking.

OSHA approved. Have they met OSHA standards for earbuds noise cancellation and usage in an industrial application?

Re: OSHA CERTIFIED?

In other words are they OSHA approved. This would be a great selling point for industrial applications. A competitor has regular bluetooth earbuds that are, but they don't have the hearing of the Hearphones. So I was wondering about that.

Hi grinboots,

Thanks for the clarification.  I hunted around the OSHA site and couldn't find anything about "OSHA approved". If you can provide a link, I'd be happy to look into that further.

Bose doesn't make claims about the suitability of our noise cancelling technology for industrial applications.

How much noise do the Bose Hearphones cancel at minimum World Volume?

Bose doesn’t make claims about percentage noise reduction because it is difficult to establish one number that is valid for all the different environments and situations where the headphones can be used. In full noise cancelling, Bose Hearphones compare favorably to other noise reduction headphones (including QuietControl™ 30 wireless headphones) and reduce unwanted noise to a level that is noticeably more comfortable when compared to the same situation without using the headphones.

The best way to know if Hearphones will work for you is to try them in a variety of situations, both with and without a Bluetooth audio source.

When you purchase your Hearphones directly from Bose, you have 30 days to return them

Re: OSHA CERTIFIED?

As a experment I tried the hearphones when I was blowing the leafs off the yard.  I redused world volumne to -50.  I found this to plesently reduce the nose of the 2 cycle driven yard blower.  Also, I noted that there is a off button for the world volumn at the bottom.  This helped even more.  My yard blower is a class II with 70db of sound at 50 feet.
