Acoustimass 10 V wiring

Looking into acquiring a Bose Acoustimass 10 series V system but have prewired house and I keep reading what a complication this can be to marry the two. Am I wrong in assuming that the cables the system comes with is simply an ordibary 2 wire system and that it's just the ends that I'll have to cut and wire into new ends that I can solder in place? If not, can someone suggest an option. What I currently have is typical (maybe 18) speaker wire with bare ends sticking out of a wall plate that just attached to my current Bose acousitmass (30 years old) that you stick into the pressure clamps on the back of the base unit.

Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

Re: Acoustimass 10 V wiring

Hi Norm,

Thanks for the post, and welcome to the communuity!

You'll need to get a wiring harness to convert the RCA connections on the bass module to bare wire connectors that will be compatible with your existing wiring.

To order this part, contact your local support center via phone and ask for the "Input Adapter - 6 Channel" for the Acoustimass 10 Series V.

Let us know if you have any questions.
