Bose 700 handshake issues

I have the bose 700 connected to my Samsung 8000 series Tv via HDMI arc and my Sky Q connected to my Tv HDMI 1 socket, every day I've turned the Tv on I've had issues with the Bose 700 being recognised by my Tv, either the tv don’t show that there's a receiver connected which causes my Tv to play both sounds or the bose light flashes red and I end up having to turn all off then back on again to finally have everything working.

 

I've waited a long time to own a Bose system, I really starting to think I've made the wrong choice.

Please help!!

 

Full set up- Bose 700, sub 500, wireless surround speakers, sky Q, Samsung UE55HU8200

Thank you for reaching out to us on the Community!  I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with the new Soundbar 700, but would be happy to help!

 

  • Has a power reset been done on all the A/V components in the setup?
  • Have you been able to try a different high speed HDMI cable?
  • Is the TV and Soundbar 700 up to date?  If you check in the Bose Music app, the soundbar's firmware should be at 2.0.10.

Done all you have stated, not had to re set for the last 3 days as the TV needed updating.
