Bose Companion 2 series III and Windows 7

Windows 7 running computer won't recognize the speakers. I see that this was an issue dating back to 2009. Turned off the computer. Pulled the speaker plug, restarted with the same results. Under device manager, the Bose speakers don't show up as an audio option.

Hi TAO,

Thanks for the post.

The speakers connect to the computer using an analog audio connection, so they will not show up as Bose speakers in the computer's device manager.

Which 3.5mm plug are you connected to on the back of your PC?  There should be three of them side by side, and the green plug is the one we want to use.

Thanks,
