I have the Bose Lifestyle 38 Series IV system -- trying to connect it to my new Samsung 4K TV -- can anyone tell me if I can use HDMI cables in lieu of the bose wiring connections? My TV does not have all the jacks to support the Bose System. Are there options for workarounds on installing a 10-year-old system to a state of the art TV? Apps, adapters, etc. ANY AND ALL HELP most appreciated!
Thanks for the post, and welcome to the community!
The LS38 IV doesn't support HDMI (as you already know), so your best option would be to run an Optical audio cable from the Optical audio out on your TV to the Optical IN on the back of the Bose console. The TV will act as a switching device, allowing all of your plugged in sources to send audio to the Bose system.
