Bose Music App asking for password frequently

Hello,

 

I'm on Android 8, Huawei Mate 10 Pro smartphone: Bose Music App is asking for relogin (username, password) very frequently even twice in a day. I find this very annoying....

 

Any solution for this...?

Thanks for your query. That does sound very frustrating - I'm sorry.

 

It seems that many Huawei phones use a password manager called "Password Vault", which seems to behave differently to the Google password manager and may be causing this issue. It's possible to revert back to Google's by heading to Settings > System > Language and input > More input methods > Autofill. This might do the trick.

 

Please let me know whether this works.

Hello,

 

I've autofill set to None.

 

The problem I've is on the application itself. Steps to reproduce:

 

1. Open Bose music app on smartphone

2. Enter username and password and login in

3. Use the app

4. Wait 2-3 hrs or 1 day and open the application : credentials are required again to be entered

Try setting the autofill to 'Google' and see if that rectifies the issue. It's possible that the app might use the phone's password manager to store login credentials.

Hi,

To constraint the user to Enable autofulfill to Google isn't right ok. Me for example I don't want to use Auto fulfill at all.

Android developers should search for a better solution. Mobile has many bugs unfortunately 😞

Around the same time I patched to 9.0 (may have been a coincidence with Feb 28th app update) I have to relogon everyday. Setting such as which speakers are on and Dialog mode are also reset to On.

Some Android users left similar feedback on the Play store.

I will not change my autofill as it has worked before for approximately a mouth. I am using Samsung Pass autofill.

Hopefully you guys can get it fixed. The app is getting better over time, hope you guys continue. Thanks.

Hello

 

I have the same problem.

Yesterday I bought the Soundbar 700 and the Home speaker 500.

In the music-app I have to login every few hours for the Home speaker.

The Souindbar stays log-in (already for two days).

I use the i-Phone Xs.
