The Bose Community Forum was launched at a time when robust online support was not available for Bose customers. Over the past several years we have added new online service channels that provide a more interactive and complete digital experience. Additionally, we have enhanced the My Bose Account capabilities to deliver a more personalized and self-service experience. As a result, Bose has made the decision to close Community Forum for Consumer electronics products on September 30th. The Bose Pro portion of the Community will still operate as usual.

Please visit our support homepage to experience one of our many other digital service channels or simply use your Community log-in credentials to sign in to your My Bose Account to view your orders and view support options.

Thank you to all who have contributed and benefited from interacting in our Community. We look forward to continuing to serve you online.

Bose Solo 5 Soundbar not Playing from Computer

Hello,

I live in Canada and I’ve had the Solo 5 for a few years now and have had no previous problems. It’s connected to the TV (LG), which I run either a computer through, or gaming consoles (usually PS4). Suddenly the speaker has stopped playing sound through the computer. It works fine through the PlayStation, and the computer seems to register that there should be sound playing, but nothing comes out. I’ve tried to unplug it and plug it back in, but that didn’t do anything.

Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like you changed the TV speaker selection for computer input.   Your TV will send the sound ( If like my Samsung ) only to the output selected for the TV input device.  There are three speaker options on my TV!

Now if only Bose told us what size screws are used with the sound bar rear mount!  Don't want to pay $30 for an accessory kit when I just need 2 screws!

Re: Bose Solo 5 Soundbar not Playing from Computer

Thanks for the suggestion! I wish it was a simple fix like that. Unfortunately, I’ve already checked to make sure that the Bose speaker is the output (or whatever you call it haha) for the computer.
