Bose Solo 5 soundbar and Samsung TV

I have had my Bose Solo 5 soundbar connected to my Samsung TV for over a year. Recently the soundbar emits no sound when we first turn the TV on (TV and soundbar turn on and off with same remote from Comcast), however if we turn the TV off and back on (the soundbar also turns off and on), the sound works fine. Conection is via optical and TV menu shows the optical connection as the active one for sound. Again, this is a recent development as everything has worked fine until now. Thoughts, suggestions??

Hello Mark,

Thanks for posting. This is a strange one. When you turn on the TV and Solo 5 is the green light coming on solid? If so you may want to try replacing the batteries in the remote, resetting the Solo 5 (unplug for one minute) and/or resetting the cable box. If you're getting a different LED status let us know as that may indicate something different. Thanks again for posting and have a great day.
