I would recommend that you use the optical connection to the Vizio TV if possible. It will provide a true Dolby Digital signal whereas you would only receive stereo audio through the Bluetooth connection.
To confirm the Bluetooth side of things are working correctly, are you able to try and connect the Solo 5 to a mobile device? Is the Bluetooth LED blinking blue when you're trying to pair a device? If it is not in pairing mode, press and hold the Bluetooth button for a few seconds until it starts blinking blue.
