Bose T20 screen tearing and lagging with Xbox One

I just got this Bose t20 home theater system from a friend who has no use for it. For the most part it works great but when playing Xbox after about 10 mins of gaming the screen starts glitching and lagging all over the place. The audio also cuts in and out as well. I tried switching HDMI cords and inputs but no luck. This doesn’t happen when watching TV through my STB, only with the Xbox... any ideas why?

Re: Bose T20 screen tearing and lagging with Xbox One

Hi Newb,

Thanks for the post, and welcome to the community.

Are you able to change the video output of the XB1 and limit it to 1080p60?  The tearing and artifacts may be caused by an incompatible video format being sent to the Bose console.

Best Regards,

Hi thanks for the response. It was already set to 1080p and there is no option to change frame rate unfortunately.

Re: Bose T20 screen tearing and lagging with Xbox One

Thanks for checking that for me.

If you press and hold down the "Setup" button on the front of the console, a "System Information" screen will appear on the TV.  What is the console software version (Line 5) listed as?  If it is earlier than 02.11.01, we'll want to run an update on the console.

Thanks,

Brandon
