Bose Wave IV (not soundtouch) with Google Audio Chromecast

Hi Gurus..

I am planning to purchase the Bose Wave IV system (not soundtouch).

The price difference between Wave IV v/s Wave IV Soundtouch is around $350+here in Australia, dont want to spend extra $350 for being able to connect via bluetooth and wifi.

All my music is on Google Play music . Will attaching a Google Audio Chromecast to Aux port of Wave IV allow me to listen to my playlists and music from Wifi / Google Play ?

Dont suggest me Bose Soundlink Adapter as that too is $200ish and i still wont be able to play Google Play music as its not a supported app by Bose. But using Google Audio Cromecast <$50, i can listen to my Google Play Music , hence an alternative, if it works.

Thanks

That should work fine for listening.  The only issue I see is that the Wave won't wake up through aux, so you would have to turn it on everytime you want to listen to it (By touching the top, or by the physical remote).  You wouldn't be able to turn it on from the chromecast or by voice control.
