Bose companion 3 speaker system

My son gave me this Bose Companion 3 system a couple of years ago and it was working great on my old computer. I just purchased a new desktop with Windows 10 and I cant get it to work at all. I have been looking for the drivers for it and have had no luck. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me where I could find the downloads to get this working. Thanks in advance.

Re: Bose companion 3 speaker system

Hi cawfee,

The Companion 3 (version 1, Series 2, and Series 2 version 2) all connect to the computer using the 3.5mm male-to-male AUX cable to the headphone jack on the computer. You should not need to install any additional drivers.

Curiously, if you plug in headphones into the headphone jack on the computer, are you able to hear the computers audio over the headphones? Have you confirmed that the computer's audio level is not set to 0? Do you have another 3.5mm auxiliary cable to test?

Let us know if the answers to the questions above and we can take it from there! Thanks!
