I have added a Solo 5 soundbar to a 40" Sony bravia tv. Source signal is over-the-air via a ChannelMaster DVR+ model cm7500. Optical audio connection from tv to solo works fine (code 0000); video is hdmi4, tv audio is turned off.. "manual' control with the channelmaster remote control works fine. Second hdmi1 input with apple tv works fine, but uses apple remote.
Since all tv signals flow through the channel master, not having bose universal remote link, I am trying with the cbl/sat button, is a real pain.
I have tried vol+ incrementing from 0198 code to find workable code
-- nothing found yet, guides or power control not functional.
Do I hit enter after vol+ increment?
Does someone know a working code?
Will bose universal remote work with ChannelMaster?
any help will be appreciated
Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. The code that I found as well for Channel Master is 0198. Instructions for programming a code as follows:

Bose Universal Remote programming status:
Still unable to communicate with Channel Master DVR+ “over the air antenna box”
Note: there is no on / off with this device — it is in perpetual stand-by
TV system configuration — Over the Air tv signal to Channel Master DVR “box”
Channel Master IR remote controls all tv / dvr functions (external 1TB hard drive storage)
HDMI from DVR+ to tv input — speakers / audio turned off
TV audio output — optical cable to Bose sound bar
Other system inputs to tv
TV Sony bravia tv code 0000 bunch of v+ code advances source power programmed
DVD (Video) Sony cd / dvd player 0000 bunch of v+ code advances source power programmed
AUX (HDMI1) AppleTV code 2414 full functionality programmed
CBL / SAT (HDMI4) Channel Master code 0198 four v+ code advances then forced exit
all six source buttons blink 3 times
Sound bar power button synced with TV source power button
Any specific help you can provide relative to the above problem will be much appreciated. hbs5370
Thank you for the details. If this is still unable to control the Channel Master, I will pass this along to development. The universal remote has all the codes installed on the chip inside and can not be updated, so this would require a new remote once developed.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for the support -- I look forward to a solution.
A second issue ( perhaps this should be a second submission?)
The soundbar seems to revert to default settings, e.g., dialog mode reverts to boom box mode, on power off.
Is there some way to retain settings on power down?

Hi there hbs5370,
Thanks for the question. There is no way to retain the dialog mode settings for the Solo systems. Upon changing input or turning the system off, dialog mode is disabled.
If you have any other questions please let us know.
