Thanks for joining the community. The Lifestyle 520 system is designed as a complete, stand-alone, home theater system. It is not a component system like a typical AV receiver would be a part of. In those types of systems the AV receiver powers the speakers, in a Lifestyle the bass module houses the amplification. You would not connect the powered output of an AV receiver to the powered bass module of the Lifestyle. If you needed more AV inputs, you could use just the AV inputs of the AV receiver and then connect that to the media center. You would be using your receiver as a switching box, however, you could buy such a device without amplification for much less. We hope this help, thanks for posting and have a great day.
